ICS-400, Advanced ICS for Command and General Staff, Complex Incidents and MACS for Operational First Responders (NFA)

Course Objective: To provide students with the knowledge, skills and abilities to manage a complex incident.
Course Description: This course is designed for department heads with Multi-Agency Coordination System responsibilities, Area Commanders, Emergency Managers, and Multi-Agency Coordination System/Emergency Operations Center Managers. This program describes how major incidents pose special management challenges, the circumstances in which an Area Command is established, and the circumstances in which multi-agency coordination systems are established. Methods of instruction include lecture, discussion and classroom activities.
Successful Completion: Students must attend all class sessions and complete classroom activities.
Prerequisites
The prerequisites for this course are IS-700, ICS-100, ICS-200 and ICS-300.
